How to Get to Malenia Elden Ring

Suman GurungBy Suman GurungNovember 9, 2022

Malenia, Blade of Miquella is the toughest and most brutal boss in all of the Elden rings. However, you can summon your friends to help you out against her raining barrage of rot and long sword.

Malenia is an optional boss, so if you find it really difficult to defeat her in spite of summons, then you are free to opt-out, continue your campaign, and return stronger than before.

How to Get to Malenia Elden Ring

There are four important things you need to do, and this article will guide you through the process from the very beginning until you get to Malenia grace of site location.

NOTE: Unlock Mountaintops of Giant to obtain Haligtree’s secret medallion. Unlock the Consercrate snowfield where you have to ignite four figure candles to activate the portal. The portal will then teleport you to Miquella’s Haligtree, where you will find Malenia. It’s a long and winding process so let’s get started.

Unlock Mountaintops of the Giant

To-the-Grand-Lift-of-Rold

Unlocking Mountaintops of Giant is one of the first things to do as it has the location to acquire the Left piece of Haligtree Secret Medallion. As we have already covered about it on our previous article on How to Get to the Rold Route Elden Ring.  We will be focusing only on obtaining the left piece of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.

Obtain Haligtree Secret Medallion

There are two secret medallions that will unlock the Consecrated snow field area. The Left one is located at Castle Sol. The rooftop containing the secret medallion is accessible only after defeating Commander Niall. As the commander is one toughest challenger in the game, make sure you are well equipped to face him and his two guards.

The other one is located in the Village of the Albinaurics. Go to the upper elevation, and you will see a giant pot on the right side of the tree. Hitting the pot will reveal a guy, and talking to that guy will give you the right piece of Haligtree Secret Medallion.

Unlock Consecrated Snow Field

Now teleport back to the Grand Rould Lift site of grace. Here, when you present the medallion, you can hoist the secret medallion. While doing so, the giant statue’s eyes turn green, and the lift goes down revealing the Hidden Path to the Haligtree. Moving forward, when you pass through the dungeon, you will see the Consecrated Snow Field.

Activate Portal to Miquella’s Haligtree

After having access to the Consecrated Snow Field region, you need to get to Ordina, Liturgical Town, North of Consecrated Snow Field. Here, you need to enter the Evergaol and solve the puzzle by lighting four figures. For that, Interact with the round glowing platform, and it will teleport you to a different version of the same town.

Light the Four figure in the Evergaol

Once you are in this location, your main purpose is to light the four candles located in different parts of the area. The enemies here are powerful and invisible, so you need to keep on moving to stay away from them. Three of the figures are located on the rooftop of the church, whereas one is on a platform between two stairs.

Teleport-access

After lighting the fourth candle, you will get teleported back to the normal world, where you can now activate the portal to Miquella’s Haligtree.

Reach Malenia’s Location

After reaching Miquella’s Haligtree, you need to touch a lot of grave sites before reaching Malenia. Begin your journey from the spawn point all the way up to the grace site outside of Malenia boss room. Make sure to craft consumables that help eliminate scarlet rot status effects, or you can use Flame, Cleanse Me incantation as well.

There are a lot of winding branches and confusing routes with incredibly tough enemies on the way. We will guide you through each path and help you locate the site of grace and the end location.

After spawning, you need to head down the branch, where you will see a small platform and a stone staircase. Slide down the branch, and you will discover your first site of grace for the checkpoint.

First-Site-of-grace

Pass through the grace site and head down the platform. Here, you have to roll down twice to get to the roof area. Make sure you have full health before making the jump as dropping down the branch can take a chunk of your health. Now, head right to the entrance.

Get-Down

You need to do a little parkour and take a left until you find the ladder down the interior of the structure. Once you pass through the corridor, head right, where you will have to lift for a site of grace and a mini-boss fight. Make sure to ignite the grace site before heading into the boss area.

Drop-down-and-head-left

After sliding down a long ladder and wooden lift, you will reach Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Run straight over the bridge, and you will spot a grace of sight.

Continue down the stairs until you find a broken fence. Jump over and head to the Gate where you can see a giant Tree Avatar guarding the entrance.

Rotten-Swamp

Inside, you will find a site of grace. From this point onwards, it’s pretty straightforward. Climb the branch and pass through the rotten swamp, and you will get to the location of Malenia’s boss. Summon your friends and souls, and get ready for the toughest boss fight ever.
