What is Roblox Tix?
Roblox tix or tickets as mentioned earlier is a gratuity given to players for keeping up with Roblox and accomplishing certain achievement inside the platform.
Unlike Robux, players could not purchase tix but they could complete certain tasks or daily logins to obtain them.
How to Earn Tix?
Players used to get ten Tix for daily login on the Roblox site, one tix if any player joins your game, and ten tix if they were on the builder club.
You could exchange twenty tix with one Robux. Place visits, selling clothes, and creating a Roblox experience were also ways to earn tix.
Why Was Tix Discontinued?
There were many loopholes for players to misuse this feature and so they did. Tix was a free in-game currency from which, you could buy various premium features and of course, attire that costs Robux.
There might be many reasons but it boils down to two major reasons for ultimate discontinuation of Roblox Tickets,
Simplicity
When Tix was first introduced on August 2, 2007, transactions inside the Roblox system got complicated with two major sources of in-game currency. While the primary in-game currency Robux is straightforward and could be purchased with real money, Tix had a different way of pleasing players.
Earning Tix required leveling up, completing achievements, daily login, and so on. Accounting for every minute Tix created much hassle and more work for developers to keep track of. Ultimately they had to abandon tix to keep things simple and efficient.
Too Many Bot Accounts
This was a major system flaw that stopped Tix to continue further. People began taking advantage of Roblox tickets by creating hundreds of fake accounts and getting thousands of tix.
The Roblox tix were then transferred to the real account making thousands of tix instantly. An issue that could not be solved without the whole system change.
Transaction of in-game currency is the root of the functioning Roblox so the only option was to discontinue the tix feature and so they did. On 15th March 2016, Roblox Tix was shut down and millions of users were disappointed but after knowing the core reasons, it’s as good as gone.
