Starlight Shards might look an ordinary consumable that is used to recover FP(Focus Points) gradually but they are the essential items to buy puppets from Preceptor Seluvis. For those who don’t know, puppets are the summoning spirits that fight alongside you on the battlefield.
You can simply use Starlight Shards to recover FP and most magic-build players might be tempted to use this item but these items are very limited in numbers(twenty-three to be exact) and cannot be farmed.
In this article, we will discuss the locations to find those Starlight Shards and how we can use them to get those puppets.
Starlight Shards Locations.
Starlight is scattered across the Lands Between and found lying under hemicyclium(Stone Sundial). The only place you will find a bunch of Starlight Shards lying around is inside the Cathedral of Manus Celes in Moonlight Altar.
There are a total of nine Starlight Shards in Manus Celes and you can reach this place only after completing the Ranni’s questline and reaching the Moonlight Altar.
The remaining are found in semi-circle-shaped stones called hemicycles. You can find Starlight Shards in following places:
Limgrave
At this point, I believe you already know that the half shape of a stone bowl structure is the source of Starlight Shards and these structures are mostly and if not always found standing by the cliff.
- From Stromhill Shack Site of Grace, Go all the way to the Southern cliff where you will find a Starlight Shard resting in the foot of Hemicyclium.
- Head to the east side cliff of Agheel Lake South Site of Grace and you will find a stone with a half-cut cup-like structure. There you will find one Starlight Shard.
- Next is received from Sorceress Sellen during her quest. Talk about Lusat’s location to her and she will gift you one Starlight Shard as a reward.
Weeping Peninsula
- Use the SpiritSpring Jump near Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace to reach the other end of the cliff. Reach the east cliff where you will find a Starlight Shard.
Caelid
- From Caelid Highway South Site of Grace, head to the west cliff and you will find one Starlight Shard.
- East of the Church of The Plague, to the cliff, here you can find one Starlight Shard.
Dragonbarrow
- From Bestial Sanctum Site of Grace, gallop all the way down to the South-East side of the cliff where you can find one Starlight Shard on a hemicyclium.
Liurnia of the Lake
- Head east at the foot of the cliff and Sprits-sprint jump to reach the top edge of the cliff to get Starlight shard.
Mt. Gelmir
- This one is in the Boss fight arena. You can either take the stairs to reach the top or use Spirit-Sprint jump near Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace. Once you reach the top, you will get attacked by a Full-grown Fallingstar Beast. You can ignore it and reach for the Starlight shard and escape.
- From Primeval Sorcerer Azur, head east near Hermit Village and you will see hemicyclium where you will find one Starlight Shard.
Main Altus Plateau
- From the Shaded Castle Ramparts Site of Grace, gallop all the way to the north cliff. Make your way around the outer wall of Shaded Castle and to the cliff.
Mountaintops of the Giants
- From the Foot of the Forge Site of Grace, race straight to the Northeast cliff where you will see a small half-cup stone structure and a Starlight shard.
How to Get Summoning Puppets?
If you have collected at least fifteen of the Starlight Shards then you can now go and meet Preceptor Seluvis who will sell you these Puppets for the cost of Starlight Shards. You can find him in his physical at Seluvis’s Rise.
You need to complete the Seluvis questline to receive all four puppets before completing the Ranni questline or else, you will find Seluvis dead in his room. These are the puppets you will get from Seluvis.
- Need two Starlight Shards to purchase Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet from Seluvis.
- Need three Starlight Shards to purchase Jarwight Puppet from Seluvis.
- Give Seluvis’s Potion to Nepheli Loux to unlock Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet. The puppet costs five Starlight Shards.
- Give Seluvis’s Potion to Dung Eater Puppet to unlock the Dung Eater Puppet. The puppet costs five Starlight Shards.
