Although Warface is a cross-platform game available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4/PS5, and PC, players can only enjoy the Cross-play functionality on the console. As for PC users, they have no other choice but to play with players on PC only.
Warface was first released on October 21, 2013, by Crytek, and the game was later ported to Xbox 360 in 2014, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018. The game was not very popular among Playstation and Xbox users since there were other competitive first-person shooting games such as Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Battlefield.
Everything changed when Warface was made available for Nintendo Switch users on February 18, 2020. Nintendo Switch has a limited roster of competitive first-person shooting games, and this welcome addition gave Switch players something to indulge in realistic war combat.
Warface Gameplay
Warface is a free-to-play tactical online shooting video game that is divided into story missions and arena-based PVP combat. The game has five classes, each specializing in a different aspect of combat. We have Rifleman, Engineer, Sniper, Medic, and a new class called SED(Synthetically Engineered Double). Each class has its benefits and is given weapons suited to its class. Many PC players prefer PVP, while console players choose to play co-op with friends on PVE.
Although Warface is a free-to-play game, you can purchase a lot of the items either with in-game currency or with real money. You can earn in-game currencies called Warface Dollars and Vendor Points when you complete missions against AI in PvE battles.
Is Warface Crossplay?
Although Warface is Cross Platform, it is not Crossplay between console and PC. Because of PCs with Wide FOV and high refresh rate, PC players have a clear advantage over consoles in PvP. Due to the hardware limitation on consoles compared to PC, developers decided not to include PC players in cross-play functionality.
Developers have not given any confirmation to put Crossplay on PC, so the only option for PC players is to find players to play on the PC hardware.
Is Warface Crossplay Between Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch?
You can play together between consoles no matter which console you have got. Make sure to enable Crossplay, and friends from Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch can join you on PvP as well as PvE.
However, the experience can differ from platform to platform as Switch games are meant to be played handheld, whereas Xbox and PS5 are played on TV monitors.
Can We Disable Crossplay on Console?
The cross-play feature is enabled automatically from the start, but Switch users were unhappy about the default enabled cross-play setting because other consoles have a clear advantage in terms of hardware and graphics. Due to such concern, developers made Warface Crossplay disabled by default only on Switch Console.
However, you can toggle on and off the Crossplay feature inside the game.
Can you Cross Save in Warface?
No, you cannot cross save in Warface. Your progress saved on one platform cannot be transferred to another platform. The save file is connected to your account that can work only on a specific platform.
